Ardaman Singh

Franklin is Warrior town and Ardaman believes in supporting the community, staff and students who make this village a whole health model. As a part of Team Jackson, LaCorte, Singh it is important to win and continue to work in bringing equity and inclusiveness in our schools, make effective budget decisions, provide excellence education to our children, and continue to be a model school in ESL, AP offerings, and sustainability. Safe and Healthy schools for all where our children can learn and grow to face all facets of employment or higher education post high school.

Get to Know Ardaman

Family:

Ardaman is a resident of Franklin since December of 1998. A family that has her spouse who is self-employed and her Rock and Supporter; two boys. a 2020 FHS Graduate who experienced graduation and loneliness during the COVID19 pandemic and a current Junior at FHS, who also experienced the wrath of remote schooling in 8th grade and part of 9th grade. To top this all is a seven-year-old Golden Doodle who keeps the family on their toes and healthy with runs and walks year around.

 

Career:

In 2016, when Ardaman had first decided to run for the BOE, she wanted to strive to make a difference by contributing her professional experience and to apply common sense and logic when making decisions. Today upon closing soon two successful terms, her 24 plus years of Human Resources experiences with Bargaining Units and Private Employees; People Management expertise and involvement at the school, district, and county level - as an active volunteer - continues to make her a perfect candidate to be re-elected for a third term.

Community Service:

Ardaman Singh also serves as a Trustee on the Board for United Way of Northern NJ, VP for Somerset County School Boards Association, the Lions Club President for Somerset Franklin Club, VP Communications for the HRMA Princeton, Volunteer for GSC of the National SHRM.

Board of Education Experience:

Ardaman’s relationship with Franklin Schools started as a Substitute Teacher in 2003 when she was pregnant with her second child, taking a pause in full time employment and seeking employment but not full-time work. She continued to serve on the PTOs until 2015. Alongside she became heavily involved in the Referendum Committee for the new elementary school, now Claremont; Superintendent Searches; and the Two Middle Schools One Program Initiatives.

 

Since winning the BOE elections in 2016, Ardaman has served primarily on the Personnel, Communications, Policy and Curriculum Committees. For the past four years she has served as Vice President of the Board.
