What Have We Done
in the Past Three Years?

In a nutshell, a lot! This list barely covers it all. But we have  so much more to do. During the last three years we have experienced, as every other school district nationally, unprecedented issues:  COVID, bus driver shortage, and a teacher shortage. Add to that a $20 million charter school cost. And, we have to stay within a 2% cap on our expenses.
District Goals

Our goals are reviewed every year at our annual goal setting retreat (usually in July or August). Although they might be tweaked year after year, they are essentially multi-year goals.

Miscellaneous Highlights:

We don’t always have the opportunity to say all of the amazing things our students and graduates are doing. There are a lot. We are proud! We are Warrior Proud!!!!

Pandemic Response

During these unprecedented

times, we did an outstanding job of responding to COVID 19.

Curriculum:

We have something for everyone, at every level. This is just a sample of what has taken place with curriculum in the past three years.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:

We have a robust Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Plan that we are very proud of.

Robert Sellers, the Chief Equity Officer from University of Michigan, has a simple, easy to understand definition of DEI:

  • Diversity - everyone is invited to the party.

  • Inclusion - everyone gets to contribute to the playlist.

  • Equity - everyone has the opportunity to dance/ experience the music.

Safety & Security:

Safety and Security are the #1 goal of the district. You can't learn if you don't feel safe.

Facilities, Finance, Transportation and Technology:

Maintaining safe schools, being stewards of the public's money, safely transporting our children, and having the technology for our students to succeed in a global society.

Sustainability and
Green Initiatives:

We support sustainable and green initiatives that decrease energy consumption and promote the health of the school environment.

Mental & Physical
Health:

We support the physical and mental well-being of our students and staff.

Personnel:

We proudly stand behind our staff. We are fortunate to have excellent relationships.

Community Engagement:

It really does take a village. When we all, as a team, stand behind our students we ensure their future success.

And this is only touching the tip of the iceberg.

We have accomplished so much over the past three years!
